Salmons Appointed to State Board

Therapy Connections would like to congratulate their owner and founder Leila Salmons for her recent Gubernatorial Appointment to the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Salmons has been appointed to a five year term beginning August 2008.

Name Change

Speech Connections expanded to offer occupational and physical therapy services in 2006. We changed our name to Therapy Connections to better describe our services offered. The same friendly staff that has always greeted you is still here!

Songbird Adventures!

Songbird Adventures is a program geared to promote literacy through music. Children will love the original books series that walks them through instrument building, language and literacy, and rhythmic/melodic improvisation.

Tiny Pretzels!

Tiny Pretzels is a unique yoga program that works closely with your child's speech, occupational or physical therapist using yoga postures to help maximize his/her potential in mastering therapy goals. View our flyer and be sure to download and sign our Yoga Consent Form before coming!

Social Butterflies!

More Social Butterflies, a Social Skill-Building Class for your child, will be offered soon. The classes are broken into age groups 3-5 years old and 6-10 years old. Please read more about Social Butterflies here.

"Supplies for Star Students" a Big Success!

Leila Salmons, owner of Therapy Connections, inspired by her work with Landmark Education created an annual project that would make a difference for the children of the Star of Hope Emergency Shelter. On Saturday, October 11, 2008, local women delivered over $12,000 dollars in monetary donations and over 250 backpacks for the Star of Hope Emergency Shelter.
